4th January 20224th January 2022Year 7 in Product DesignYear 7 in Product DesignIn Yr7 Product Design, students have been learning about different timber types and this project has been an introduction to the workshop. Out of the timber, they have cut a heart shape using a tenon saw and worked their 'hearts' using rasps and files to create a rounded shape. Lots of sanding has followed to further smooth the surface. To finish the project the students have sealed and waxed their 'hearts' and some have chosen to stamp a message into the surface.
