Maths

Mathematics at Connaught contributes to the curriculum by developing students' abilities to calculate, to reason logically, algebraically and geometrically, to solve problems and to handle data. The Mathematics Department aims to:
- offer a variety of approaches to teaching and learning to engage and motivate students
- smooth the transition for students between Key Stages and ensure progression in teaching and learning
- encourage students to discuss and demonstrate their solutions, insisting on correct, precise mathematical terminology to be used at all times, both spoken and written
The Mathematics team at Connaught consists of highly experienced teachers who strive to achieve high standards from every student by making learning fun but challenging and encouraging them to achieve their potential.
