History
In History we deploy a variety of teaching methods and approaches to explore written, oral and pictorial evidence. Students get actively involved in watching historical film, participating and contributing to role plays, discussions and debates. We offer a number of exciting educational visits and field trips, at home and abroad, to help fuel the imagination.
Studying History does not just enable students to understand events of the past and present but helps to develop valuable skills in:
- Logical thinking.
- Effective communication.
- Developing an argument and recognising bias.
- Analysing and interpreting information.
All of these reasons make History a well regarded subject at Connaught and highly valued in a range of professions.
