Students Celebrate 'Study Plus' Success
Iqra Ahmed and Widaad Taleb (year 11) were 2 of 20 students in years 10 and 11 who joined Councillor Chris Robins at the Study Plus celebration event held at Kelmscott School on Wednesday July 9th 2008. There was a drumming workshop which was enjoyed by all before the girls were awarded their certificates for participation in the Study Plus project. Warwick Boys School and Kelmscot School also participated in the event.
Study Plus is an approach that has been developed by the Secondary National Strategy to improve the GCSE results of a target group of students. Schools decide to timetable Study Plus for one or more groups of students in KS4 and design a course to improve their English and/or mathematics with strong links to other subject areas.
