Dance Showcase - April 2011

Connaught School for Girls provides a dance programme for our Year 9 students as part of their Physical Education programme. This programme involves professional dance instructors from the ‘Step into Dance’ company teaching our students different styles of dance and dance routines over a 14 week block.

The two year 9 classes involved in Dance in the spring term 2011 were given the opportunity recently to perform at one of the ‘Step into Dance’ Showcase performances that they hold a couple of times a year for all schools they work with.

Twenty of our students performed a set piece at the concert that was held in April 2011 along with many other groups from different schools from all over London. The girls were great, the performance was outstanding and the girls were met with a big round of applause from the audience.

Well done to all girls who took part, we all look forward to the performances at the celebration evening at the end of the summer term.
