The School motto is ‘Seize The Day’ and the School aims to ensure that Connaught Girls leave to embark on their adult lives as well-qualified and assured young women, ready to contribute positively to society in whatever sphere they choose.

The School places learning at the heart of everything that it does alongside recognition that every child matters. High quality pastoral care coupled with a comprehensive citizenship, personal, social and health education programme and exciting work towards Healthy School status ensures that all girls are safe and well-cared for in School.

Connaught School for Girls has held Investors in People status for many years, recently re-accredited in April 2010. The School places very high importance on the induction and development of all staff.

In November 2007 Ofsted reported “Connaught School is a good school. Pupils enjoy attending and parents think very highly of it. Pupils achieve well and reach above average standards”. In the dual subject inspection conducted in March 2007, Ofsted found the provision for English “outstanding” with “exceptional” oracy and assessment, and Work Related Learning / Economic Awareness displaying “outstanding features”.
